Your Mrs New Mexico 2018
Hello! My name is Jodi Redfearn and I am incredibly honored to be your Mrs. New Mexico 2018.
I am a wife to my amazing husband, Jake. We celebrated nine years together on the 4th of July, 2018. We have three energetic boys together: Kobe will be 10 in August, Konner is seven, and Kollin is four. Being a wife and mom is what I am most proud of and passionate about. I also work with my company, Pruvit, from home, which has allowed me to share my passion for health and fitness and the pursuit of being better everyday while still being able to raise our kids.
We love enjoying the outdoors as a family, including travel, sports, hiking, camping, and family barbecues. This year we are putting in a pool, and we are so excited to host get-togethers at our home.
About two weeks before the Mrs. New Mexico America pageant, Konner was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Although we were shocked, I'm so glad I decided to go ahead and compete—it has been life changing for me and my family. I'm honored to represent my great state, and I'm looking forward to using my voice to spread awareness of the warning signs of Type 1 diabetes and help advocate for kids that need financial help them obtain the best tools possible to manage their diabetes. I am currently working with a company that provides pods for diabetics, which not only adds years to their life and levels blood sugars on a very accurate level, but it also allows kids and adults to live more normal lives without having to take numerous daily shots. Though I would never have chosen this path for our son or us, I know that God is using all this for good, and I'm excited to help others.
I truly believe in living life to its fullest. Attitude is everything, and I work to be a positive light not only for my family but for other women. I am adventurous and spontaneous, and I hope to pass these attributes on to our boys. I have been skydiving three times, repelling countless times, white water rafting—I love anything fun in the outdoors! We only get one life, and I want to live it and show our children to go after their dreams, and to work hard, and to do what they are passionate about, and to love others. I'm so grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I have learned along the way to be open to new opportunities and that everything happens for a reason—there are always signs to indicate the direction to go if you are looking for them!
